Mahindra BE 07 Spotted at Charging Station, New Details Emerge

The upcoming electric SUV gets a more conventional body style than the BE 6, a triple-screen dashboard and is expected to arrive in India in 2027

Mahindra’s upcoming BE 07 electric SUV has been spotted charging at a public charging station in Karnataka, offering a closer look at some of its design details. The latest spy shots reveal features such as frameless doors, fully motorised pop-out door handles and the brand’s signature C-shaped LED lighting elements.

The production version of the BE 07 was earlier known as the BE.07 concept. It will become another addition to Mahindra’s Electric Origin SUV portfolio, sitting alongside the BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S. Unlike the coupe-like BE 6, the BE 07 is expected to get a more conventional SUV silhouette, with a taller stance and a more upright rear section. One of the more interesting details visible in the latest spy shots is the frameless door design. This is an unusual feature in this segment and should lend the BE07 a more premium appearance.

The SUV also appears to get fully motorised pop-out door handles, which extend out electronically rather than requiring the user to press one end manually. The exterior follows Mahindra’s Electric Origin design language, with C-shaped LED lighting signatures, a sculpted bonnet, chunky bumpers and a sporty rear spoiler. The charging port is positioned on the rear-left quarter panel.

The BE 07 is also expected to get a triple-screen dashboard layout, with separate displays for the instrument cluster, infotainment system and front passenger. This arrangement has already been seen on Mahindra’s XEV 9e and XEV 9S. Other expected features include ventilated front seats, powered seat adjustment, a premium Harman audio system, connected-car technology and Level 2+ ADAS. The complete equipment list is yet to be confirmed.

The BE 07 is expected to use Mahindra’s INGLO electric platform, which also underpins the brand’s existing Born Electric SUVs. Battery options could include 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh packs, although Mahindra has not confirmed the specifications. Rear-wheel drive is expected, while a dual-motor all-wheel-drive version could also be offered.

The BE 07 is expected to be launched early 2027 in India. It will compete with electric SUVs such as the Tata Harrier EV and VinFast VF 7, while also sitting close to the XEV 9e within Mahindra’s own portfolio. More details, including its final battery options, range, performance and pricing, are expected closer to its launch.
