Hero MotoCorp has launched the all-new Xtreme 160R 4V and refreshed Xtreme 250R in India, strengthening its premium motorcycle portfolio with more technology and revised styling. The Xtreme 160R 4V gets a comprehensive redesign, while the 250R receives additional equipment, including cruise control, a quickshifter and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Bookings for both motorcycles open on October 17, 2026, with deliveries scheduled to begin on November 1, 2026.
The all-new Xtreme 160R 4V is available in three variants, with introductory prices starting at Rs 1.27 lakh. Its revised design features sharper tank shrouds, updated bodywork and an LED lighting package with an H-shaped daytime running light signature.

Power comes from a 163 cc, four-valve, oil-cooled engine producing 17.1 PS at 8,750 rpm and 14.6 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Hero claims a 0-60 kmph acceleration time of 4.4 seconds. The motorcycle gets ride-by-wire with Rain, Road and Sport modes. It also introduces cruise control and Panic Brake Alert, both claimed to be segment-first features. Dual-channel ABS, a 276 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc handle braking duties.

Other highlights include a new TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, a Type-C charger and adjustable brake and clutch levers. Suspension consists of 37 mm KYB upside-down front forks and a seven-step preload-adjustable rear monoshock.

The refreshed Xtreme 250R is priced at Rs 1.98 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi, as an introductory offer. It will be available in Carbon Red, Carbon White and Carbon Black. The motorcycle retains its 250 cc, liquid-cooled, four-valve DOHC engine, which produces 30 PS at 9,250 rpm and 25.3 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Hero claims a 0-60 kmph time of 3.2 seconds.

The headline addition is cruise control, accompanied by a sensorless, bi-directional quickshifter that allows clutchless upshifts and downshifts. The motorcycle also gets four riding modes: Rain, Road, Sport and Track. A tyre pressure monitoring system displays tyre pressure and temperature, with colour-coded alerts. Another significant update is the Frequency Selective Damping rear suspension, which is designed to adapt its damping response to different road inputs.

The motorcycle continues to use a trellis frame and 43mm upside-down front forks. The refreshed model also receives gold-anodised front forks, revised graphics, coloured rims, carbon-fibre-effect panels and a new full-colour TFT console with lap and drag timers. The twin launch highlights Hero MotoCorp’s attempt to strengthen its presence in the premium motorcycle market through equipment and technology rather than engine capacity alone. While the Xtreme 160R 4V targets the sporty 160cc segment, the Xtreme 250R adds features typically found on more expensive performance motorcycles.

Hero MotoCorp will sell both models through its dealerships, with the Xtreme 250R also available through the Hero Premia network. The company says its Premia network has more than 130 stores. The introductory prices make the new motorcycles more accessible at launch, although buyers should confirm the applicable price and variant availability with their local dealership.
