Toyota’s premium hatchback gets a three-cylinder petrol engine, fresh styling and additional features, while retaining manual, AMT and CNG powertrain options
Toyota has launched the 2026 Glanza facelift in India, updating its premium hatchback with a new petrol engine, revised styling and additional equipment. The Glanza continues to share its underpinnings with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, but gets Toyota-specific styling at the front. Prices now range from Rs. 6.99 lakh to Rs. 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom), across five variants: E, S, G, V and V(O).
Toyota has announced the starting price for each trim, rather than the price of every engine and gearbox combination. The new V (O) is the range-topper and brings the additional driver assistance technology.
The facelift brings a larger front grille with satin-finish accents and a radar module for the ADAS functions.
The LED fog lamps have been redesigned, and the Toyota badge has moved to the trim below the bonnet. A shark-fin antenna and two new colours, Digital Teal Green and Bluish Black, are also part of the update. The headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels and rear styling remain unchanged.

| Variant | Starting Price (Ex-showroom) |
|---|---|
| E | Rs. 6.99 lakh |
| S | Rs. 7.71 lakh |
| G | Rs. 8.73 lakh |
| V | Rs. 9.99 lakh |
| V (O) | Rs. 10.49 lakh |
Inside, the dashboard layout continues as before, but the Glanza gains leatherette upholstery, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger with cooling, a Clarion sound system and a tyre pressure monitoring system. The existing 9-inch touchscreen, head-up display, automatic climate control and rear AC vents are retained. Six airbags, a 360-degree camera, hill-hold control and ISOFIX mounts continue to be offered.
The Glanza replaces its older four-cylinder petrol engine with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z12E unit. It produces 83 hp and 112 Nm, and is paired with a five-speed manual or AMT gearbox. Toyota claims fuel efficiency of 23.80 kmpl for the manual and 24.77 kmpl for the AMT. The CNG version produces 70 hp and 102 Nm. It is also available with manual and AMT transmissions, with claimed efficiency of 33.61 km/kg and 34.47 km/kg, respectively.

The updated Glanza continues to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz. The new engine and added equipment give Toyota’s hatchback a more substantial update than a cosmetic facelift alone.
